As Cal Newport says, “Digital Minimalism doesn’t reject the innovations of the internet age, but instead rejects the way so many people currently engage with these tools.”
It’s true that it may be easier to upload a youth worker training video or listen to a podcast, and once again, we take full advantage of those all we can!

But nothing can quite replace meeting up, having lunch (or dinner),and talking about student ministry successes and struggles. Nothing quite replaces sitting in a small group, holding a pen in hand, learning some new things and taking time to work on our ministries rather than just work in them.
That’s why we’re inviting you, if you haven’t already, to register for The Well, a three-hour seminar for youth workers (paid or volunteer) that will be hosted in three Illinois cities.
Belleville, IL – Monday, March 2 (5:15 pm – 8:25 pm)
Springfield, IL – Tuesday, March 3 (9:00 am – 12:30 pm)
Bloomington, IL – Tuesday, March 3 (5:15 pm – 8:25 pm)
Each event will be the same program, including a meal and Mark Oestriecher, nationally known student ministry mentor, speaking. The topics are:
CREATING A MINISTRY OF BELONGING and THE TEENAGE BRAIN.
We would love to have you join us. If you’ve already registered and discover one of your team members can join you, just give us a call 618-541-8291 and we will add them on at the group rate.
If you haven’t registered yet, do so here.
If you have any questions, contact us!
We’re praying for your ministry and trust that you’re continually learning and growing, and we encourage you to do all you can to make it to one of these great events – live and in person.
