In 1990, the ministry began as Tim Price Music Ministry. While studying at Asbury Seminary and pursuing his Master of Divinity degree, Tim sensed God leading him to involve others in the camp music ministry, knowing that graduation would soon bring new opportunities and responsibilities.
That vision began to take shape in 1996 when four individuals served together on a summer music team. Although the ministry would not officially become Harvest Ministry Teams until 1997, the concept of raising up and equipping others was already taking root.
What started as a summer team never ended. Since that time, Tim’s primary ministry has been serving as the Director of Harvest Ministry Teams, a nonprofit organization dedicated to equipping leaders and serving as a resource to the church.
Today, Harvest is a 501(c)(3) ministry with a twofold mission: to GO OUT to sing, serve, and share the love of Jesus, and to RAISE UP the next generation of disciples and ministry leaders.
Over the years, more than 350 young adults have served full-time on Harvest Ministry Teams. Harvest has recorded multiple albums, traveled to 25 states, and ministered internationally, serving in hundreds of churches, camps, conferences, and special events.
In addition to leading worship and ministry gatherings, Harvest provides resources for the church through podcasts for worship leaders, ministry leaders, and students, as well as blogs and other training materials designed to encourage and equip believers.
Alongside his work with Harvest, Tim Price serves on staff at his home church in Troy, Illinois. He and his wife, Suzanne, are blessed with two daughters, who also join in the music and ministry.
GIVING AND SUPPORT PARTNERSHIP
Tim serves on part-time staff at his home church in Troy, IL. The other half of his ministry as Director of Harvest is a self supporting missionary position. Since 1996, financial partners have played an incredible role in helping Harvest to happen. In addition the partnership support for Tim’s salary and insurance, Harvest is funded through a combination of grants, donations, event registration and honorariums and the sale of resources. Through Harvest Ministry, for more than two decades, Tim and his family have had the privilege of speaking into the lives of hundreds of young adults, thousands and children and students and numerous church leaders.
