It was great to lead worship at Quest UMC in Urbana, IL this past weekend. Jeremiah who has been the worship leader there since it first began about 13-14 years ago, traveled with Harvest for a couple summers. He has also helped with different events over the years. It was fun to be connected with him that morning.
On Sunday, I spoke for the first service and during the second service sang with their band and preached. I was reminded again of the fun of connecting with another band in leadership. Being at another church gives me a glimpse of just how big the Kingdom of God is and just how small we are. Every Sunday morning, literally millions of people are getting up early, gearing up sound, tuning instruments, and tweaking worship areas. They are pouring their gifts, talents and lives into being the worship teams for congregations all over the world. The Quest Band was no different… meeting at 7 am, cranking through songs for which they were well prepared, and all with a smile.
Thanks to Quest for being a light in the community and for helping to support Harvest Ministry! Blessings! – tim price
