My name is Tim Price and I’m grateful to be connected to you.
I serve as the Executive Director of Harvest Ministry Teams, a ministry based in Troy, IL. Since 1996, we have had a mission to GO OUT to sing, serve and share the Love of Christ and to RAISE UP the next generation of ministry leaders and Christian disciples.
We’re currently inviting new partners into the monthly giving team because of the continued vision for Harvest Ministry.
In order to keep reaching the next generation as well as invite the young adults to serve in the ministry is going to require more “oomph.” In short, we need to increase the energy of connecting with youth workers and ministry leaders and increase our publicity and event promotion so that we can stay fresh and confident stewards of the Gospel message.
I still sense the call to serve in this unique ministry, and at the same time, realize in order to continue to grow, we need to build a little more structure, which includes adding to the team. We believe that adding staff will help increase the fruit and the funding for future ministry.

To summarize, Harvest receives funding from three main sources:
- honorariums, offerings and conference event fees
- individual donors and grants
- sale of resources
Why the model of inviting people to give financial support?
It is common knowledge that the budgets for local youth and children’s ministry are often tight. Though we invite people to give an honorarium for a week of camp, a concert, or a special event, we only charge a portion of our total costs – otherwise, many wouldn’t be able to have it. Same with the conferences we host. We charge a small fee to help cover the costs of the event and help the student have buy-in to being there. But we know that if we charge the full amount, it may become a barrier for many households to send their students.
I believe the Lord helped this model come to fruition for Harvest Ministry. It’s been amazing to see how our current modest, but generous partners have helped sustain, by God’s grace, Harvest for a number of years. In fact, our budget has hovered around $120,000 annually, for nearly a decade.
As the Lord keeps opening my heart and vision for what Harvest can do in the next decade, I am responding faithfully, by inviting you to join me in building this new framework.
