All expenses for meals and housing are covered while you are serving on the team during the summer and each team member is invited to raise support for their summer ministry. Harvest is a 501 c 3 non-profit ministry, so all contributions are tax-deductible. The money raised is given to the student team member at the close of the summer as an educational scholarship. This is a great way to help support your ministry during the summer and to involve others in ministry with you.
Team members have the option of raising support for the summer ministry. The money raised would be given to the team member in the form of a “scholarship” at the end of the summer ministry. Most team members raise this by prayerfully requesting support from family, friends, and home churches. Sample letters will be provided for this endeavor. We will also create a personalized link so your support team can give to you online. Team members are not paid for serving during the summer, but all travel, lodging, and meals are covered from June – to August (this does not include the break for several days at the beginning of July).
