It’s been a week since we finished up the 28th summer of ministry with Harvest and we give God all the glory!
To start with, we’re grateful for the opportunity to see God at work in the hearts and lives of students all over the state! From altar times at camps, to prayer circles and devotions to testimonies shared by students and leaders! It’s a privilege to serve the Lord in this way and see at least some of the fruit come about immediately.
We served at camps and events during the months of June, July and the first week of August.
It was an incredible summer of serving together with the ongoing team as well as with some short-term team members.
Harvest was out for about 50 days, leading worship approximately 73 times and it was awesome!

We led in three different churches on Sunday mornings and spent one two Sunday mornings at ministry event – Epworth Camp and MMDC. The photo above is from July 30, 2023 when we led worship at Mosaic in Highland, IL.
The instrumentation for the group was Tim Price (Guitar and vocals), Ella Hudspath (Guitar and Vocals), Ruby Price (Mandolin, Violin, Vocals and fill in drums and bass for two events), Dylan Moore (Drums), Marissa Story (Bass and Vocals) and Lynnsie Talley (Keyboard, Guitar and Vocals).

One cool thing was when ShoutCo! Puppets led during worship at Shiloh UMC and their VBS Closing Sunday.
It was awesome being in Rockbridge, IL for their one day VBS!

If you want to see all the photos from the summer of 2023, it’s best to go to Facebook photo albums on the Harvest page. But this one is a sample of a regular day during the summer. First of all, we most often matched Harvest tees on Wednesdays – no one knows how that groove began. We also led worship – which meant picking songs, sound checking, setting up ipads and pro presenter about three times a day! So, this shot of Ella is rather natural for the summer of 2023.
Ruby getting ready – Marissa is in the back ground and ditto to the info above! Ruby played Mandolin most all summer and sang harmony. But every once in a while, she broke out the violin, played drums for the weekend of fledgling camp and played bass for CDF in Wisconsin.
A definite memory was the weekend where the camp speaker, Pastor Lenny, did a monologue dressed as Jesus and it just so happened to match – exactly! – the Jesus from @ShoutCo! Puppets! It was something else.
Lynnsie Talley played keyboard and sang most all summer, but also jumped up to lead her original song most every week! Listen to the song on Youtube.
The van rides were the best! We had a fun time driving around – so many great conversations, laughter and community! Thun!
It was awesome to lead at Camp Point UMC in Camp Point, IL. We were able to share again the great Gospel message and invitation to Rise Up to follow Jesus.

Thanks to everyone who partnered with Harvest Ministry to purchase a new van! We’re grateful for the ways that God provides and the newer van worked well this summer!
For Harvest Ministry, the van and trailer is more than an asset, it’s one primary tool, along with the sound system and people power, that allows us to GO OUT to sing serve and share as well as RAISE UP the next generation of ministry leaders and Christian disciples.
