Fire-Up is a weekend discipleship conference for high school students hosted in Troy, IL. All high school students are welcome to register and attend. Student ministries and student ministry leaders are encouraged to participate. We’re praying for awakening in the next generation’s hearts during this 30th year of Fire-Up!

Harvest has led worship for camps, conferences, and churches all over Illinois and the Midwest, including Fire-Up, which has been one pillar of the ministry since it began in 1997!

The core team of local student ministry leaders helps plan and prepare for Fire-Up! The current team is includes: Matt Vollmar (St. Matthew, Belleville); Erin Swank (Eden Church, Edwardsville); Sammy Rawson (St. Johns, Edwardsville); Clint Benesh (Aldersgate, Marion); and Tim Price (Troy Methodist, Troy).

In addition to the core team who meets monthly for the fall to plan for Fire-Up, there is also the Troy Hospitality Team that helps makes the weekend registration, meals, snacks, and welcome go super smoothly!

HOW FIRE-UP WEEKEND WORKS

Most commonly, a local church student ministry group, led by a student ministry leader and or some adult volunteers, register for the event and attend together. Friday night opening worship and fellowship time will happen from 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm. Saturday will be from 9:30 am until about 8:45 or 9:00 pm, and Sunday will go from 9:30 am – 11:45 am. During this time, meals will be provided at the event and included in the registration fee. All programming will take place in the same building except for a couple of hours after lunch when groups, who will be responsible for their own transportation, can take a break. Your group can do your own thing around town, or you can take part in one of the handful of activities planned by Fire-Up.

RELEASE FORM

When you register for the event, there is a basic checkbox labeled “permission” to indicate your parent/guardian’s consent to attend. We’re counting on student ministry leaders to use their own permission forms as they would for any other trip. However, here is a Printable Release Form that you can use.

SCHEDULED TIMES FOR FIRE-UP 2027

>>> Scheduled Times: Friday from 7:00 pm – 9:45 pm, Saturday from 9:30 am – 9:30 pm, and Sunday from 9:30 am – 11:45 am. This weekend’s conference has a single registration rate and can’t be split across time slots.

Though we charge a registration fee for the event, we welcome past students, leaders, church members, and friends to give toward Fire-Up support. This helps keep costs down for students and provides a great program and hospitality—all with a focus on inviting students to follow Jesus!
