Great day at the Marion Kids Conference! It was a great time of worshipping, studying God’s Word, and having fun! Thank you to each student, adult, and church group group that attended! We had an amazing first time at BKK in Xenia! We were able to connect with students and join them in various activities. It was awesome to be a part of the Morning Praise committee and to lead worship each evening! We were thankful for the opportunity to be there! Thanks to Debbie, Debbie, Adam, and all of the student leaders.

July 26-28, 2024 | Beulah Family Camp, Eldorado, IL

We were glad we could join the students at family camp for the weekend. The first night we arrived, we had pizza, went to worship, and ended the night with devotion (by Lynnsie) and games. The next morning, Ruby shared the lessons, we joined the camp in worship and then we went hiking at Garden of the Gods. Before evening worship, we shared music for pre-service music. The devotion for the evening was led by Dylan and then we taught the students some ECDs before heading to bed. We finished our time there with a lesson led by Caleb, morning worship, and a great lunch! Thanks to Gabe Grzymala for running the computer for us over the weekend!

Great night of worship in the courthouse gazebo in Jerseyville! Thanks to Suzanne and Macy who ran sound and the resource table. Also thanks to First Baptist for use of the restrooms and Bethel Baptist for the amazing dinner!

We had our second ShoutCo! Show at Meridian Village in Edwardsville! We were grateful to have had the opportunity to be there. One of the favorite songs of the day was the “Beep Song” from Sesame Street. Awesome day!

This was the first time the ShoutCo! Puppets performed at an assisted living community! It was awesome! We sang brand new songs plus our favorites and then visited with the residents afterward. Special thanks to Annie for jumping in for the day!

We stopped in at Helia Assisted Living on our way out of Olney to sing a few songs and visit with the residents. We sang a few songs plus “Happy Birthday” and then said hi to a few folks. It was a quick stop so we didn’t get a picture.

July 21, 2024 | Brookstone Estates, Olney, IL

We had some free time on a Sunday afternoon, so we called an assisted living community in Olney to see if they had a time slot available for some music. They said they would love it if we could provide a time of music during dinner. It was an awesome time of sharing and we were able to visit with the residents afterward.

We led a worship night at Decatur Grace on Friday, July 19! Thanks, Ria, For inviting us and setting things up! The dinner was great, the worship night with the whole church was amazing and it was really fun to hang out with the student ministry.

July 15-19, 2024 | Epworth Jr./Sr. Camp, Greenville, IL

Epworth Youth Camp was a powerful week with eternal significance. Harvest has been long time worship leaders for this event and for 2024 the team included: Tim Price (Guitar), Gabe Gryzmala (Tech), Ruby Price (Mandolin/vocals), Caleb Hasebe (Bass/Keyboard), Lynnsie Talley (Guitar/vocals), Nate Brown (Electric Guitar), and Dylan Moore (Drums). Suzanne and Macy joined us a couple days and Rex and Corbin filled in one tech for a couple services.

Praise the Lord for an incredible week. All glory to God!

July 12-14, 2024 | Epworth Fledgling Camp, Greenville, IL

Epworth Fledgling Camp was awesome! We led worship four different times, led a time of group games, and helped with music class. Ruby led the team this weekend while Tim led the team in Rockbridge. Thanks to Suzanne and Macy for coming and helping with a little bit of everything. And thanks to Olivia for jumping in and singing/playing guitar! The ShoutCo! Puppets also joined us halfway through the weekend and did two different shows!

July 13, 2024 | Rockbridge VBS, Rockbridge, IL

Rockbridge Methodist Church VBS was awesome! The theme for the day was following Jesus on the Great Adventure! Thank you to the hospitality of Dennis and Iris Price, Pastor Kevin, and everyone at the church!

We assembled this team just for this weekend because the summer team was in Greenville at Epworth Fledgling Camp. Thanks Jack, Rex, Sherry, Harper, Erin, Henrick, and Tim for leading!

July 8-11, 2024 | Camp Point VBS, Camp Point, IL

What an amazing week of ministry in Camp Point, IL at the Camp Point Methodist Church VBS!

Each evening we ate dinner, had a time of music, broke out into groups, and then came back for the closing session.

Our theme was the Great Adventure. We talked about how to SEEK, TRUST, OBEY, and FOLLOW God on the Great Adventure. We led Bible Adventure where the children dove deeper into scripture and truly grasped the meaning of the passages.

Another one of the rotations was rec. The first few nights we played games indoors because it was raining, but the last night we were able to go outside and play Nine-Square and parachute.

The ShoutCo! Puppets also joined us for lots of songs and a wrap-up of the lesson each night. Thanks!

July 4-7, 2024 | RRCC Family Camp, Polo, IL

Great time at Rock River Christian Camp Family Camp! It was an awesome weekend of music, activites, and singing around the campfire. The team for the week was the Price Family, Tim, Suzanne, Ruby, and Macy.

We arrived at the camp on the evening of the Fourth and drove to the nearest town to watch fireworks. The next few days we jumped into fun activites including carpet ball, swimming, zipline, crafts, and more! Each morning and evening we led worship and at night we sang songs around the campfire. The ShoutCo! Puppets also joined us on Saturday morning for a show!

June 28-29, 2024 | Beulah: The Beginning, Eldorado, IL

Awesome two days at Beulah: The Beginning! We had the opportunity to lead worship, games, and hang out with the campers! We also led the evening devotion on the Ten Commandments and an easy way to remember them in order. Also, thanks to Rex Repp for jumping in on sound and Gabe Gryzmala for joining us as well!

June 24-27, 2024 | Beulah Bible Camp, Eldorado, IL

Great week at Beulah Bible Camp! We arrived on Sunday evening and set up. The next morning, we finished setting everything up, rehearsed a few songs, and got ready for the first assembly.

The schedule was breakfast, worship, Harvest devotion and meeting, assembly, lunch, Elective 1, snack, Elective 2, dinner, worship, and evening activity.

During the electives we had the opportunity to hang out with campers and play games, sing songs, and more! Also, thanks to Gabe Gryzmala and Suzanne and Macy Price for helping with sound, computer, and videography.

It was awesome to lead worship at Urbana First UMC in Urbana, IL. Thanks to Pastor Bob Freeman for the invitation and hospitality! Also, it was great to have Tim preach as well as lead worship.

What a wonderful night of worship at the Troy Park! It was a great turnout and we are so thankful for everyone that came!

Also, it was fun to have Price Family Music join us for a couple of fiddle songs.

June 17, 2024 | Outdoor Concert, Ramsey, IN

Great evening at Unity Chapel in Ramsey, IN! The weather was perfect for an outdoor worship night.

After stopping at a Lincoln’s birthplace, we arrived at the church about 3:30 to set up and have dinner before the concert.

June 15-16, 2024 | Russellville, KY

We were honored to be apart of three amazing events in Russellville, KY. We arrived on Saturday night and led worship during a block party in conjunction with the Methodist Temple. It was a great evening of worship, inflatables, and food trucks.

On Sunday morning, we led worship at the Russellville Methodist Temple. Thank you for the great lunch provided afterwards!

On Sunday evening we kicked off the first night of VBS with music, Bible Adventures, games, ShoutCo! Puppets and more! It was a great time of connecting with kids and planting seeds.

Big thanks to the families of the church, the Hardings, and our host families!

June 13-15, 2024 | Springfield, IL

It was great to join the Troy Methodist Middle School Students on their summer mission trip.

We left on Thursday morning and headed to Love Packages in Butler, IL. While there, we sorted books, packaged them, and went through VBS/Sunday School material. The literature will then be sent to English speaking third-world countries.

That evening we arrived a Lake Springfield Baptist Camp and led worship and devotions.

On Friday morning we drove around the Chattham/Springfield area and did acts of kindness at laundry mats. That afternoon, we headed to Midwest Mission and did a variety of projects including varnishing and scraping gum off of bleacher wood.

We led worship again on Friday evening and headed out on Saturday morning.

June 10-12, 2024 | Troy, IL

June 10-12 we spent some time connecting, rehearsing, and preparing for the summer. Thank you to everyone that provided a meal during training week!

June 9, 2024 | Worden, IL

A great morning of worship at Worden Methodist! We shared special music and also shared a little bit about Harvest! Thank you to the hospitality of the church and Sue Busler.

June 4 – 7, 2024 | Marion, IN

It was a great week at the GLC-AC 2024! We left on Tuesday morning, June 4, after some preparation at the church. We stopped at Stake n’ Shake for supper and headed to Indiana Wesleyan University to get set up. Tim rehearsed with the praise band for the week while Ruby, Dylan, and Lynnsie explored the campus.

Throughout the week, we sang in the worship choir, led music for communion, and Ruby was a part of the Concert of Prayer. Each evening we led worship, devotions, and games for the students at the conference and ate pizza. In the mornings we played group games and shared testimonies.

On the way home we stopped by James Dean’s childhood house, the Big Things in Casey, IL, and finished up at Los Amigos in Vandalia, IL.

Big thanks to Dylan and Lynnsie for setting up the youth room and signing us in for the week!

JULY 30-5 2023 | CHRISTIAN DISCIPLE FARM, SULLIVAN, WI

We spent an amazing week up in Wisconsin at the Christian Disciple Farm. Each day, we served in various ways at a VBS style day-camp for those with specials needs and their families. Some of us were group leaders, assistant groups leaders, buddies, and station leaders. After the camp ended for the day, we returned to the volunteer campground and led worship and activities for the volunteers. It was a full and fun week!

Sunday morning at Mosaic Church in Highland, IL was a wonderful morning of worship. We made many connections in just that morning and it was a blessing to serve alongside everyone in the church.

JULY 23-29, 2023 | BEULAH FAMILY CAMP, ELDORADO, IL

A great week during the summer: Beulah Family Camp. During this week, we have the opportunity to lead the middle/high school students in worship, Bible studies, devotions, and special activities. We also attended worship and Bible studies with the rest of the camp. This year we lead pre-service music in the tabernacle which was a lot of fun! We also had really good meatloaf!

We were honored to join Shiloh UMC in their VBS closing! The ShoutCo! Puppets sang their favorite songs and some new ones too! It was a great time of connections and sharing God’s word in a fun and unique way! Thank you to Ryan and Courtney Froidcoeur for joining us and for their amazing hospitality for lunch that day! It was delicious!

Amazing day up in Rockbridge, IL for a one-day VBS! It was a fun-filled day of music, Bible studies, games, and great food! Thanks to the Prices for their hospitality over the weekend! Also, thanks to Erin for joining us this weekend.

JULY 17-21, 2023 | EPWORTH JR./SR. CAMP, GREENVILLE, IL

We had a great time at Epworth Institute in Greenville, IL. We joined the students in activities like carpet ball and canoeing, but also had time to have a few more team devotions. The Harvest girls also participated in the Lip Sync Battle which was so much fun! Thank you to Daniel Holbrook for coming the whole week and playing with us for the first time! The drums were great!

JULY 15-17, 2023 | EPWORTH FLEDGLING CAMP, GREENVILLE, IL

The team had a great time at Epworth Fledgling Camp in Greenville, IL! We were happy to be apart of the revamp of the camp. We led worship, played games, and hung around the Summer Kitchen (snack shack). The ShoutCo! Puppets also lead a few songs after each meal in the dining hall! Also, thanks to Ruby for jumping in on drums!

JULY 12, 2023 | Jensen Woods, Mound Station, IL

We had the opportunity to lead a time a music and fun at Jensen Woods Campground (where we were staying during our time in Camp Point). It was a great group of students who loved motions and games! We also got to ride horses with some of the students during the week at the campground which was a new experience for some of the team members. Thanks to Cathy Crozier for heading up the afternoon and horseback riding!

JULY 11, 2023 | ILLINOIS VETERAN’S HOME, QUNICY, IL

We were honored to lead the chapel service at the Veterans Home in Quincy, IL. It was broadcast to each residents room and a few came in person. Thank you to the Halls for the opportunity to lead and the amazing hospitality!

JULY 10-13, 2023 | CAMP POINT UMC VBS, CAMP POINT, IL

The team had a wonderful time leading the VBS at Camp Point VBS near Quincy, IL. We led worship, Bible Blast, and recreation time! The ShoutCo! Puppets were also there for some fun! Big thanks to Blaine for joining us this week, playing guitar, and helping in other areas during the week.

JUNE 30-1, 2023 | BEULAH: THE BEGINNING, ELDORADO, IL

This weekend camp was so much fun! We got to meet a whole new group of kids in grades 1st-3rd. We led during the worship times, but were also able to lead them in their evening devotion.

It was a blessing to be back at Beulah Bible Camp this summer! We spent the week with students in 4th-6th grade, led them in worship, and were able to see their response to God’s calling on their lives. The whole 2023 summer team was there plus Courtney, Suzanne, and Macy who helped with sound, lyrics, and more!

We had a great night worshipping the Lord in the gazebo at Tri-Township Park in Troy, IL! It was a beautiful evening and lots of fun! Big thanks to Josh for coming to set up and run sound and to Caroline for helping with the resource table!

JUNE 9-11, 2023 | MIDWEST MISSION WEEKEND, CHATHAM, IL

The team joined the TMC Middle School students on their weekend mission trip to Midwest Mission in Chatham, IL. We served alongside students at the warehouse and lead them in a time of worship and devotions each evening. It was the first official Harvest trip of the 2023 summer!

JUNE 6-7, 2023 | HARVEST TRAINING EVENT, TROY, IL

Before the 2023 Team began, we took a couple of days in Troy, IL to run through music, prepare for ministry and build the team together. The 2023 summer team included Tim Price, Ella Hudspath, Ruby Price, Lynnsie Talley, Dylan Moore, and Marissa Story.

MAY 7, 2023 | MONMOUTH, IL – FIRST UMC CELEBRATION

On Sunday, May 7, Tim, Ruby, and Dylan headed to Monmouth, IL right after worship at Troy Methodist Church. We led worship for part of the celebration of a new sanctuary at the First UMC in Monmouth, IL. It was an awesome evening, it was Dylan’s first Harvest Trip, and the worship night ended with tornado sirens — and it was a lightning-filled and windy trip back home. We will always remember the amazing evening in Monmouth!

A huge thanks to everyone who joined us for the Harv-A-Thon in 2022! It was an amazing evening. surpassed our $30,000 goal and in the end, $36,000 was given. Harvest was invited to record the worship music for the Illinois Great Rivers Conference Covenant Keepers Event for over 300 pastors. We recorded the music at Troy UMC, where the event was supposed to take place until it had to be moved online due to the pandemic spike in January 2022. HARVEST SUMMER TEAM 2019

The summer ministry officially concluded yesterday. Since 1996, we’ve invested summer weeks in leading worship and serving in ministry. This year, there were 16 team members (including my family) who traveled for various weeklong camps and other events. Once again, I praise the Lord for the awesome work and ministry this summer. On a basic level, the Lord provided safety in travel, for which we are grateful. We did have to purchase new tires for the van on one trip due to some issues and we had to borrow a couple different vehicles based on the air conditioning going out in the Harvest van (during the hottest week of the summer!) but that should be resolved this coming week. On a side note, thanks to Dennis D Price for allowing us to borrow his truck for one of the weeks.

As I heard it put one time, the modern church prays for safety, the early church prayed for boldness. So, as grateful as we are for safety, team health and all the basics, I’m so grateful for the opportunity to live out faithful discipleship, community and ministry through Harvest. I’m grateful to be available to be an “assist” as a worship band in drawing students to Jesus. It’s awesome to have the privilege of meeting hour upon hour across the last two months with kids, students and adults to witness to the love, grace and salvation that can only be found in Christ.

Each believer benefits from a spiritual highpoint during the year. Week in and week out local church discipleship is a must, but along with that is the opportunity to pull away from the regular routine to attend a camp, conference or special ministry event. These times allow us to be immersed in God’s spirit and the Word – and helps us hear more clearly, obey with boldness and refocus our attention and desire on things above.

Summer camps provide these opportunities as well as anything out there. I’m grateful for the camp directors, pastors and leaders who invited Harvest to serve. We had the privilege of leading worship 67 times during the summer events. And we are praising the Lord and giving glory to God for the seeds that were planted and the hearts that were transformed this summer.

Also, thankful for the team members who served in some way this 24th summer of Harvest Ministry. I’m so thankful for the investment of abilities in the awesome kingdom work of reaching the next generation. Suzanne, Ryan, Elizabeth, Ava, Emily, Henrick, Clint, Christian, Andrew, Nathaniel, Hannah, Luke, Daniel Tatjenhorst.

Of course, this is a small snippet of a great summer! A huge thanks to all those faithful people who help support Harvest financially, who pray for Harvest and for team members and their families and friends who help support them. Glory to God for all the doors that were opened, hearts that were awakened, invitations that were accepted and lives transformed in the name of Jesus.

Now onto to family vacation, fall worship ministry at Troy United Methodist Church and Harvest Ministry Team conferences and events this school year!

KIDS CONFERENCE TEAM: Clint Benesh, Rachael Miller, Chase Weber, Courtney Bettis, Tim, Suzanne, Ruby and Macy Price 

For the first time ever, we hosted a summer, weekday kids conference!  This event was in partnership with White House UMC in White House, TN with Francie Trostle. It was an incredible day of sharing God’s word with children from the church and community. A huge thanks to Francie for hosting. So glad to have Chase join us. He lives in the area and came over to play guitar. Chase have served on Harvest Teams over the years and recorded the latest Harvest album. Clint played bass, helped with sessions and skits and has been a big part of Harvest Conference ministry in general. Courtney played percussion, Rachael sang, Suzanne helped with the conference administration, hospitality, and computer lyrics, Ruby and Macy help operate the inflatable and helped with song motions. It was a fun trip – and we’re praying about and planning for the possibility of hosting more summer weekday kids conferences next year.

BEULAH BIBLE & BEGINNING CAMP TEAM:  Zach Reynolds, Ryan Froidcoeur, Rachael Miller, Tim Price

Harvest has led worship for Beulah Bible and Beginner Camp for lots of years and it’s always an incredible week. Thanks to Debbie and Lindsay for inviting us to serve during the week.  Thanks to Zach Reynolds for joining the team. Zach is a member of Matt Bryan’s church in Belle Rive, IL. Matt served on Harvest back in the mid 2000’s. Also thanks to Ryan for playing drums. Ryan has been a part of our church and was able to join the team for the week for the week of ministry. The week of Beulah Bible was really wet – rained almost every day. But God’s spirit showed up, kids were engaged and worshiped and it’s great to be a part of a camp that focuses so heavily on teaching kids God’s word! A special thanks to Tyler Roth and Ashley Randoll for helping with the sound and tech for the week!

One evening, while we were at Walmart, a storm became so bad, we had to go to the back storerooms. That was a first for Harvest! The storm passed and things were fine, but it was a memorable night  – glad you were with us Tim and Becky Pate!

JUNIOR HIGH ALIVE:  Rachael Miller, Tyler Lynn, Emily Lynn, Clint Benesh, Tim, Suzanne, Ruby and Macy Price 

Jr. High Alive was a great week! Thanks to the Harvest Team who served. It was great to have Tyler and Emily Lynn to sing and play drums for the week. It was also good to have Clint to play and Rachael to help sing and lead. The devotions were great each evening. The group was energetic in worship and it was a joy to serve there. We also enjoyed being with other leaders from the area – Matt Bachman, Randy Azbell, Andrew Spainhour, Matt Henson, Jessie George and the rest of the leadership crew! It was also fun to have our home church middle school students at the camp! Thanks to Suzanne, Karen, Loren and Clint for serving as leaders for the group. We have enjoyed serving at JHA most years since it began in 2000.  It’s a great week and we’re looking forward to next year!

In Silvis, IL, we invested time each evening sharing music and messages with kids from the church, community and neighborhood.  Some highlights included learning the Ten Commandments, singing and playing nine square. The meals provided by the church were awesome and our team loved being a part of the city park program during the day. We visited the zoo, played music, played games and had lunch with those kids. It was great to have Rebecca and Josh on the team for the week. Thanks to each team member for leading groups. Thanks to Ruby for playing bass and thanks to Joye and the church in Silvis for your ministry, hospitality and vision!

Epworth Fledgling Camp – Rachael Miller, Daniel Tatjenshorst, Ryan Froidceour, Suzanne, Ruby, and Macy Price 

It was an amazing weekend at Fledgling Camp! Rachael and Ruby sang while Ryan F. and Dtat played box and guitar. Suzanne and Macy helped with the computer lyrics and sound. This is the first year, in a while, that Fledgling camp was it’s own separate weekend. Thanks to Lee and Ora Lee for their work in leading the weekend. It was great to serve, get to know the kids, and lead in worship with youngest campers!

Beulah Holiness Camp:  Tim Price, Clint Benesh, Ava Andrews, Rachael Miller, Jordan Harper, Jessie George

Beulah was an incredible week of ministry! During this week, Harvest leads the youth ministry portion of the camp. The team serves as dorm sponsors, worship leaders, Bible Study leaders, mission coordinators and activity coordinators. We also led the pre-worship music in the tabernacle for several evenings of the week. Beulah is an awesome place and it was a ton of fun serving in ministry there. The missions included Habitat for Humanity, singing in a nursing home, working with the CCCC in Harrisburg, IL and cleaning up the bike trails for the city of Eldorado. Other highlights included the talent show, swimming, playing the longest game of nine square ever (3 hours and 45 minutes non stop) and having great snacks, games and devotions each evening. A huge thanks to others who joined in ministry there, including Jared Neaville, Ann Connor, and Andy and Rebecca Black. We’re praying for the students who attended and praise the the Lord for the awesome week.

So glad to meet Nate Brown through Dtat! He was the leader for the crew at Epworth. Thanks to each member of the team who served, to Matt for preaching, to Deborah and the camp leadership team.  Epworth has a long history of great teaching, preaching and reaching students and I was so glad to have the group continue in leading. Also a special thanks to Leanne Roderick for serving during the week!

Epworth Generations Camp is a weekend family camp. We were glad to lead worship for the weekend. It was great to have Kim join us for the weekend and it was good to have Trenton play drums. Rachael sang, Suzanne helped with the tech stuff and we appreciated the invitation to serve from Gary and the rest of the leaders! Also thanks to Patty for the creative speaking during the weekend.

Sunday, September 18, 2016 | Greenfield, IL – First Baptist Church

A beautiful, bright sunny day for an outdoor community fair at First Baptist in Greenfield, IL.  The team was Tim Price, Drew Allsman, Bobby Fairless, Daniel Tatenjorst, and Hailee Anglin.  Jordan Harper, Suzanne Price, Macy Price and Ruby Price were all with Harvest that day too!  Great lemonade shake ups, great sound set up and fun ministry!

IGNITION 2016 – TROY, ILLINOIS

The Harvest Team for Ignition 2016 was Tim Price, Emily Gray, Hailee Anglin, Nathan Peel, Clint Benesh, Drew Allsman, and Daniel Tatenjorst.  Alex Mitchell ran sound, Nick Goodwin and Erin Kossakoski did the computer graphics, and Jordan Harper ran lights.  There were also a host of other volunteers from the weekend. Jamie Hudgins was the speaker.
