HARV-A-THON

The fall Harv-A-Thon is a virtual event and a fun way to invite others to join us in the mission by giving financially! Without the generosity of so many people, it would be difficult for Harvest Ministry to thrive the way it has for 25 years! We praise the Lord for his faithfulness and provision and for the awesome opportunity we’re given to do this together.

Over 100 people gave during the Harv-A-Thon and the goal was met – just a hair over $20,000 was given during the event! This money will be used as we kick off 2021 and continue finding ways to reach out through music and ministry to the church and the next generation!

Of course, you’re always welcome to give and here are the ways to do so.

IGNITION CONFERENCE

Ignition Middle School Conference was a hybrid – with some students attending in Troy, IL in person and many other student ministries watching from afar online. It was a great day of ministry! Thanks to the Harvest Band for leading and to the speakers who presented virtually! The speakers were Matt Henson, Danny and Julie Beasley, Nate Brown and Haley Hausman.

AWAKENING WORSHIP CONFERENCE

We thought by the fall we could surely meet and host conferences! We never dreamed it would go on this long. But when it came time for the Worship Conference, we had to change things around and go all virtual. Hosted from Troy, IL, this conference featured 15 different virtual presentations from speakers all over the nation / globe. Over 200 people registered to attend and it was an awesome three days! Thanks to Clint Benesh for joining as a co-host and to each leader who presented!

OUTDOOR WORSHIP CONCERTS

What a fun “tour” of outdoor worship concerts this fall! We set up in seven different church parking lots over the course of six weeks and after we got going, not one had to be canceled! It was so fun to minister with the team – lots of fun nights! A huge thanks to the host churches and to the Harvest Bands! And a special thanks to Josh and Dan for providing the production!

Team members for the outdoor worship concerts included: Dtat, Clint, Ava, Ryan, Ryan K, Caroline, Courtney, Curt, Elizabeth, Dan, Josh, and Ruby. Host churches included: Willow Hill, Worden, Quincy churches, Decatur First, St. Paul in Brighton, Sherman First, and West Salem Trinity in Mt. Vernon. It was a great few nights!

VIRTUAL PRAYER NIGHT

On September 3, we got together at Troy UMC and hosting a virtual prayer night. Tim, Ava, Dtat and Ryan led music and we invited people to join us in prayer on the phone to Facebook Live. Thanks to Luan, Clint, Jake, Bonnie, Hal, Jessie and Karen.

I still count this evening as the main reason the rest of the fall was so awesome! Thanks to everyone who joined in praying that night on facebook!

NEW BETHEL, GLEN CARBON, IL

The week after East Moline, Ryan and Tim served as worship leaders for a couple nights of the New Bethel Student Ministry Mission Week. Instead of going on their trip, they stayed in town and did local ministry projects. It was a cool couple of evenings and we enjoyed connecting with Judy Lee and the families there!

Great food, an awesome worshipping spirit among the group there!

And in addition to Glen Carbon that week, we also traveled down to Beulah Campmeeting to lead music on evening!

Glad the camp got to happen that last week of July! It was the only camp to take place on the Beulah grounds this year!
