New Harvest Worship Band EP – Living God

The newest Harvest Worship Band EP is available now!

We’re grateful for every team member who serves with Harvest.  These are the team members who served on this project:

 

Andrew Allsman (Drums) – Andrew is a student at SIUE, plays drums with Harvest and Troy UMC, and works as a pharmacy tech in Alton.

Brian Caringer (Drums, Percussion, Extra Stuff, Tech) – Brian is the youth pastor at St. Matthew UMC in Belleville, IL. He has been a part of Harvest in various ways for several years.

Chase Weber (Electric Guitar, Bass, Recording, Mixing) – Chase lives in Nashville, co-owns Gnome Studios, serves in a variety of ways through music and ministry and has played with Harvest for several years.

Bobby Fairless (Keyboards, Synth, Piano) – Bobby lives in St. Charles, MO, works at Boeing and plays with Harvest Worship Band for some conferences and events.

Hailee Anglin (Vocals) – Hailee is a college student, has been a part of Harvest Conferences since she was a kid and has recently been leading worship with Harvest Ministry.

Alex Mitchell (Tech) – Alex is a college student, the audio engineer at Troy UMC and helped with the recording for this project.

Tim Price (Guitar and Vocals) – Director of Harvest Ministry Teams and Worship Leader at Troy UMC.

Fire-Up 2017

Fire-Up 2017 is in the books. What a tremendous weekend.  The Holy Spirit was work in the lives of students and adults.  The weekend is over, but the work continues.  Weekend ministry events have always been about what happens later. Fire-Up is a springboard for discipleship and God touches the heart of a teenagers during the weekend!  Then doors are open for growth, maturity and increased faith! We are praying for much fruit from the Fire-Up weekend.

We were grateful to have you there!  It was an amazing group of students – who participated, engaged and enjoyed the weekend.  A huge shout out to the leaders who brought students.  It was a blessing to have your church involved.

We’d like to thank Crystal Kirgiss for being the speaker during Fire-Up!  It was so fun to be with her.  A big thanks to Aubrey Barnes for his part in worship.  Thanks to Matt Bachman and Sean Hall for their part on Saturday night!

Thanks to the members of the tech team, the small group leaders, the hospitality team and the host team!  Members of these crews were from Troy UMC and it took a small army to accomplish the task of hosting the event.  Thanks to each one for investing your weekend in this work!

Amazing Renovate Weekend

What an awesome weekend at Renovate in East Moline, IL! Renovate 2017 was a spirit filled, easy going and fun weekend with nearly 100 teens from several area churches. A huge thanks to Pastor Gerald for speaking at Renovate 2017.

“Thank you so much for allowing me to encourage you on your journey with Jesus. You are so awesome and can’t wait to do ministry with you real soon. You are world changers – don’t let the world tell you who you are. LOVE YOU GUYS!”

 

 

A huge thanks to Shaun Easton and the host church, Christ UMC in East Moline, IL.  A big thanks to to the leadership team: Suzanne Price, Clint Benesh, Nancy Wilson, Bonnie Grotjan, Lance Grotjan, Curt Franklin, Kristin Franklin!

 

A big shout out to the great hospitality team (Thanks Carol!) at Christ Church and to Jessica Lang for her leadership and her photos from the weekend.

We’re praying for God’s word to be planted in the hearts and lives of those who were at Renovate 2017 and praying for much fruit from it.

Four Fire-Ups

Fire-Up Conference is coming up at the end of this month and the best registration rate ends today!  The registration includes the conference programming, meals and snacks, recreation, and a t-shirt!  It’s going to be a powerful weekend of inviting students to follow Jesus more deeply.

We know today’s high school student has a crazy life schedule.  The whirlwind is a learned behavior, passed down from us well meaning adults – who also, at least at times, overextend our calendars. There isn’t much downtime at home and activities and obligations overtake evenings and weekends.

But, we still believe in special faith building weekend events for teenagers!  That’s why we are hosting Fire-Up Sr. High Conference February 24-26, 2017! A high school student can only attend Fire-Up four times in their lives…  that’s basically the limit.

It’s been noted that most people who follow Jesus make a decision to do so before the age of 18. Of that number, a significant percentage make such a decision in a special ministry event setting – a summer camp, a retreat, a concert, or special worship service.

High School Students:  We’re inviting you to Fire-Up 2017!  We’d love to have you.

Adults:  We’re inviting you to encourage high school students to attend.

The Light Kids Conference

Children’s Ministry Leaders, Pastors and Parents:  Bring your first – fifth grade children to The 2017 Light Kids Conference this Spring! 

Kids will love the music, the entertainment, Bible Buzz, MERGE Recreation (with several stations including a 30 foot inflatable), lunch, snacks and more.  The day begins at 9:00 am and concludes at 2:00 pm.  The registration fee includes the program, lunch, and snacks for each student and adult.  There are discounts if you register early.  Typically, a children’s ministry leader or parent will bring a group of children to the event.  A general ratio for churches bringing a group is one adult for every five children.

Many denominations have been represented at The Light Kids Conference – United Methodist, Southern Baptist, American Baptist, Nazarene, Evangelical Free, Lutheran, Free Will Baptist, Free Methodist, United Church of Christ, and others too!

This year will be the 16th year for The Light Kids Conference and attendance is typically between 175 and 300 children and leaders at each site.  The 2017 theme is RESCUED centered around Moses in thr river, Daniel in the lions den and Jonah in the great fish!
