This is the 25th year for Fire-Up! Wow! Below are six ways you can be a part…

Hey Troy UMC ~

What’s hard to believe is 2022 marks the 25th Fire-Up Conference! Through these years, thousands of students have descended upon Troy, IL to participate in this discipleship weekend. We have had Harvest lead worship music, invited great preachers, led small groups, taught seminars, provided meals, and called students to follow Christ.

The 2022 FIRE-UP CONFERENCE will be held at Troy UMC the weekend of February 25-26. Friday is from 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm and Saturday will be from 9:30 am – 8:30 pm. The theme for the conference is AWAKENING and we’re praying that the hearts of students will be open to God’s work in their lives.

TROY UMC has not only been the host for the conference, but they have also pulled out all the stops to welcome, serve and lead during these weekends. Thank you for your investment into the lives of the next generation during this special annual event.

We know there’s a season for every event and one of these days, we will do something different, but for now, especially as we plan for this year with the ongoing pandemic, we want to keep the ball rolling and here’s how you can join us!

1. PRAY FOR THE CONFERENCE

2. SHARE WITH FRIENDS IN OTHER CHURCHES

If you have friends in other churches who help with student ministry, share the link with them and tell them about the weekend! [Facebook Invitation] [Fire-Up Website]

3. INVITE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO ATTEND

Register the high school students in your family/home and invite others you know to join us! Students from Troy UMC can register with kurt@troyumc.org or online.

4. DONATE SOME SNACKS & DRINKS

During the pandemic we’re expecting fewer students in person, however, we would still welcome your partnership in donating snacks for the weekend. Donations can include cans of soda (no orange or red), small individual bags of chips, bottled water, pre-packaged snacks / cakes / bars. You can bring any of this to the kitchen, marked Fire-Up, beginning in February.

5. HELP DURING THE WEEKEND

There are roles during the weekend to help with hospitality, meals, and small group leadership (which happens two times on Saturday). Contact tim@troyumc.org.

6. HELP DEFRAY THE COST OF THE WEEKEND

CONFERENCES

Fire-Up Conference for high school students will be held in Troy, IL February 25-26, 2022. The Light Kids Conferences will be held on Saturday, April 2 in Marion, IL and in Troy, IL on Saturday, April 30.
